Use Twitter Lists for Follow Friday
The idea is to allow people to curate lists of Twitter accounts. For example, you could create a list of the funniest Twitter accounts of all time, athletes, local businesses, friends, or any compilation that makes sense.
Twitter announced that they are working on a new feature called Lists. Here’s an idea: Use Lists for that tradition commonly known as Follow Friday. The fact that you have to create Lists manually would add more weight to your follow recommendation, not to mention making it easier to incorporate the recommended Twitter users.
Additionally, as it is often done today, Follow Friday tweets are just a list of Twitter ID’s and you’re not sure why the Twitter users are recommended in the first place. Follow Friday is often misused, e.g. retweeted so many times in hope for reciprocation to get more followers. I find it annoying that every Friday my Twitter stream is just full of Twitter ID’s. Lists would reduce this clutter.
